texas feelin'

The lovely Star Lee who created DOG AND PONY has definitely offered Austin a perspective on fashion from her many impressive adventures in the land of clothing. Yesterday I finally stopped in and was mesmerized by the affordable threads that include simple but expressive tops and dresses from StyleStalker, Wildfox, MinkPink and vintage! She even had a new jewelry line we've been admiring on Etsy, HEY MURPHY. We all know Austin has a pretty unique vibe that feels like it pervades everything you do here in a balanced way so next time you're here don't forget to stop by. Don't be shy...tell her we sent you!

Love,
Andrea

this is the remix

Hoakon + Helga  is a handbag line by the fabulously multitalented Andrea Strand, creator and editor-in-chief of one of our favorite online publications, Antler Magazine. With Hoakon + Helga, Andrea uses the same keen eye for design and appreciation for the unique and beautiful that makes Antler so awesome, giving ill-fitting vintage leather jackets new life by turning them into beautiful modern purses that are both eco-friendly and one-of-a-kind. This collection strikes just the right balance between fresh, contemporary design and the comfort and nostalgia of eras past, making these bags perfect heirlooms for our generation.

Tess

I want your skulls

Christi from Gemini Rising is our kinda girl. Hailing from Texas and currently living in LA, she might love skulls, crystals, and taxidermy just as much as we do. Our favorite of her pieces combines all three in a necklace that is both totally badass and surprisingly cute. This smiley little skull is carved from a horn and wears a crown made of Gemini Rising's signature tiny quartz points. Plus, seriously, how can you resist a skull with dimples?

Love,
Tess
